The purposes of the LSAA shall be:
- To advance the general welfare of the members of the administrative bargaining unit in the Lowell Public Schools.
- To unite all eligible Administrators in Unit B into one organization for mutual support and protection and for advocacy of their common interests.
- To serve as the exclusive collective bargaining representative for all eligible Administrators employed by the Lowell Public Schools and to negotiate on their behalf with the Lowell School Committee and/or its designated representatives with respect to their salary structure and other terms and conditions of employment.
- To enter into, administer and enforce compliance with collective bargaining agreements on behalf of its members.
- To provide legal representation, support and/or advice to its members when needed in connection with their employment in the Lowell Public Schools.
- To raise the professional standards of the Administrators in the Lowell Public Schools.
- To promote professional attitudes and ethical conduct among its members.
- To promote cooperation and understanding between the members of the LSAA and the community.
- To provide an opportunity for continuous examination, study and/or review of the professional and/or employment issues faced by the members of the LSAA.
- To develop group opinion on professional and/or employment matters through utilization of a representative body.
- To function effectively through and with corresponding local, state and national organizations.
