LSAA

Mission Statement

The purposes of the LSAA shall be:

  1. To advance the general welfare of the members of the administrative bargaining unit in the Lowell Public Schools.
  2. To unite all eligible Administrators in Unit B into one organization for mutual support and protection and for advocacy of their common interests.
  3. To serve as the exclusive collective bargaining representative for all eligible Administrators employed by the Lowell Public Schools and to negotiate on their behalf with the Lowell School Committee and/or its designated representatives with respect to their salary structure and other terms and conditions of employment.
  4. To enter into, administer and enforce compliance with collective bargaining agreements on behalf of its members.
  5. To provide legal representation, support and/or advice to its members when needed in connection with their employment in the Lowell Public Schools.
  6. To raise the professional standards of the Administrators in the Lowell Public Schools.
  7. To promote professional attitudes and ethical conduct among its members.
  8. To promote cooperation and understanding between the members of the LSAA and the community.
  9. To provide an opportunity for continuous examination, study and/or review of the professional and/or employment issues faced by the members of the LSAA.
  10. To develop group opinion on professional and/or employment matters through utilization of a representative body.
  11. To function effectively through and with corresponding local, state and national organizations.
